I'm going to have my first-ever Black Friday sale this year

Hello Reader,

Every year Black Friday rolls around, I get asked if I'll be doing a Black Friday sale, and every year my answer is "nope, I don't do sales on my courses."

This year, I've changed my mind and will be having a Black Friday Sale.

I'll be running my first Black Friday sale in 7 years, starting next Tuesday, November 25th, and it'll run through to Cyber Monday.

The sale will be for my two main courses, CSS Demystified and Beyond CSS.

I've always been hesitant to run sales because I didn't want people who paid full price to feel like they got a bad deal, but someone reframed it for me after I didn't run one last year: It's more about removing the cost barrier for people who otherwise couldn't get the course.

When I thought about it that way, it made sense, and so here we are, doing it for the first time!

On top of that, with the end of the year coming up, a lot of companies have learning and development budgets that need to be used before the year ends, so if you've been wanting to pick up one of the courses and you have a budget available, now might be the perfect time.

I'll send out more details on Tuesday when the sale goes live, but I wanted to give you a heads up now in case you've been thinking about grabbing one.

Kevin

P.S. I will be sending out a few emails about this sale over the sales period. If you'd like you can click this link to opt-out of them. You'll stay on my regular newsletter without getting the Black Friday emails.

If you no longer want to get any emails from me, you can unsubscribe or you can edit your preferences if you'd like pick which emails you get from me.

Hello Reader, A bit of a different email this Sunday, as I don't have any new content to share (which is the first time I haven't had anything in a long time). Instead, I'm writing to let you know on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, I’m giving a workshop with Frontend Masters called Modern CSS Fundamentals. The workshop is for anyone ready to move from doing their best to getting CSS to work to truly understanding it. Whether...

Hello Reader, I’m going to keep the intro short on this ones because there is a lot going on in the What I’ve Been up to section, but before we jump into into that, two quick things: As an experiment for Interop 2026, Jake Archibald and the team at Firefox habe put together a way to gather more feedback on what features matter most to developers. So, if you head on over here, you can pick the proposals that are important to you, and...

View this email in your browser (or share it with a friend!) Hello Reader, A few weeks ago, I posted a video about the current state of the internet after I had a terrible AI-generated CSS article showing up in my news feed. I was saddened by how it was getting priority over quality content from sites like Piccalilli, Smashing Magazine, CSS-Tricks, and countless other excellent sources (I’ve put a bunch in the other links around the web section below if you’re looking for more to follow). At...
